Dear professor
You are an archaeologist. Why are you mispronouncing Champollion as Shampoleon? I am embarrassed for you. Sincerely,  M

This may push me into the realm of super-nerd, but...
For anyone interested in publishing research, or even getting “A”s on your college papers, I suggest reading The Craft of Research by Booth, Colomb, and Williams. There are three editions, obviously the third edition is going to have the best information, but the other two would be fine. Read it.

The Forgetting Pill Erases Painful Memories... →
This new model of memory isn’t just a theory—neuroscientists actually have a molecular explanation of how and why memories change. In fact, their definition of memory has broadened to encompass not only the cliché cinematic scenes from childhood but also the persisting mental loops of illnesses like PTSD and addiction—and even pain disorders like neuropathy. Unlike most brain research, the...

Archaeological News: THE SEEDY, SCANDALOUS HISTORY... →
archaeologicalnews: Forget roses, chocolates and candlelight dinners. On Valentine’s Day, that’s rather boring stuff — at least according to ancient Roman standards. Imagine half-naked men running through the streets, whipping young women with bloodied thongs made from freshly cut goat skins. Although it might sound like some sort of perverted sado-masochistic ritual, this is what the Romans...

I will love Peach for longer than Jake's body all...
Me: My love for you is stronger than the wind under the math building you made me walk under. When it's a windy day.
Peach: Hahahaha that's pretty damn strong.
Me: The amount of love I have for you is more than the amount of homework you've ever had and ever will have.
Peach: Woah. That is too much love. Don't smother me.
Me: I will only let a little bit of the low show. I shall hide the rest like you hide from social situations.
Peach: You are on a role tonight with the similes, aren't you?

If Famous Writers had Written Twilight →
themycroftsiren: book-of-flights: bookriot: You’re welcome. Annie Proulx Edward and Jacob defy society’s expectations up in the mountains. I have some to add: Douglas Adams Bella is a boring teenage girl until she meets Edward, a vampire/alien hitchhiker stuck on Earth. Jacob is a hot alien from a costume party. Hijinks ensue, there are towels, sentient bowls of flowers, and mice. ...

As I was unable to see my brother’s performance in the Mr. Zionsville pageant tonight, Calvin let me sit in on one of the rehearsals this weekend. This is a tease of what is probably going down right now in the ZCHS Performing Arts Center. Calvin is the really tall stringy one in the back right.
